Well I didn't manage to get the achievementt, but that was mostly because I wasn't prepared for the nydus worm inside the base so when I had to send some people to take care of them after a while the outside broke through. Otherwise I had absolutely no problem getting the 2k kills. Just make sure you have some defense in the base itself as well.

Although I didn't think of using cannons in conjunction with the mothership...

anyway, don't build them until you have a mothership that can stealth them, otherwise you're just wasting your minerals.

It is really hard to put up a wall of cannons when the mothership shows up because the zerg are almost constantly coming, even if you could protect them long enough to spawn, the zerg just block all the spaces and you end up having holes.

This start only works if you kill the overseer immidiately though, otherwise your cannons get seen and end up being killed.

well, I used cannon, 4 to 6 to make a line, backed up with pheonix, voidray and colosseus
I played in hard and it functionned pretty well
was able to get all the achievement

I m at media blitz right now (yeah, i know, secret mission etc ...)

I only played on normal, doing hard/brutal/achievements now. But I used massed amounts of photon cannons, carriers, and the new protosss ship with the laser. Worked fairly well for me

I personally found that, on the last Protoss mission, building a wall of Dark Templars worked wonders, since few of the Zerg's waves have any detectors with them.  Keep some Phoenixes on hand to destroy any wave that does  have an overseer (your observers will give you a heads-up if one is coming), and you're pretty golden against ground attacks.  It did feel cheap, though...

hum, about this secret mission,

is there any bug about the achivement unlocking ?

because, from what I see, after completeing ALL the objective, I dont succeed to get the corresponding achievement
and even after collecting all the "weapon items", I still dont get the corresponding achievement either ...

or perhaps, the achievement were blocked on bnet today ?

People have been hacking already so they turned off achievements till things are fixed I'd presume

I ddint see the proper message on b.net ... any link ?
