this is what happens when you have a fire sale of older models as well as release a new model which makes some people with older models trade theirs in for. Give it another two weeks and things will be back to normal.

2 weeks... ok.
I look forward to revisiting this with you.
US will still be up by at least 25% in 2 weeks (if MS can meet the HUGE demand that there is) and then 3 weeks from now the EU launch of the 360S hits.

I expect it too to settle to 20-30% more than before the cut, maybe in USA and UK closer to 30% and closer to 20% elsewhere, except during the slowest summer weeks.
Curiously, despite not having big launches, PS3 is up too, WW, in America and in Japan, so it looks like it wasn't hurt by XB360 Short big launch, while Wii is down WW and in America, so I see no need for SDF to get defensive, er, more defensive than usual.
Or maybe everybody should get defensive: if XB360 was able to do so much in its 5th year, what could Apple consoles do when they eventually launch?
