Yes, they had the rebate as well. So it was 14,900 yen Arcade, 24,900 yen Elite and 29,900 X360 S.

Maybe due to poor sales of the old SKUs, street price was already close to the new one and so the cut had a smaller effect than the Slim compared to other countries.

Here in Italy for example, before any official cut, you could find XB360 Arcade bundled with two games for around ~170€, now you can find it for as little as 149€, but bundled with just one game. People won't perceive either a big drop or value increase, so maybe the new XB Short will prevail here too during the first launch weeks.
