Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo is no longer lazy, like IGN said so.

the metroid delay doesnt have nothin to do with the voice actin
you think Nintendo care what IGN had to say about New Super Mario Bros Wii
when the game is clearly better than Splosion Man

Nintendo made me a gamer so I'd be stupid to ever try to forget that                                             like so many people nowadays

Nintendo, along with every game developer, does not give a rat's ass about what IGN thinks.

8th gen predictions. (made early 2014)
PS4: 60-65m
WiiU: 30-35m
X1: 30-35m
3DS: 80-85m
PSV: 15-20m

IGN means I GRRRR Nintendo.
So of course Nintendo did not listen.

Had Nintendo listened to the magazines, it would not exist.

Good thing then it turned a deaf ear.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Music formats do not equal effort. It can take a hell of a lot of work to make good original midi music. It's about what the artist does, not the tools they use.

I should know, I've been doing thing in my comic with less effort, but that was me, not the tools I used.

And just adding voice acting doesn't mean more effort either. I hope most of us know of games with sloppy voice acting (all of them *rimshot*).

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Nintendo is still lazy.

Once again they didn't make Peach a playable character because it would take too long to animate her dress.

LOL, yeah. Nintendo is deeply concerned about all the staff leaving IGN's Nintendo team, and is taking steps to ensure that their games stop driving gaming journalists to quit.

Oh yeah, I'm sure Miyamoto was browsing IGN and was like 'hey these guys really know how to make a good game, let's do what they're telling us!'

Win lol

I'm still awaiting an editorial named "Super Mario Galaxy 2 is better than Red Dead Redemption. Get over it Fanboy."

Because comparing two highly rated yet totally different games in different genres is what they do best.

@smeags IGN would never do that for a Wii game, true or not

However, part of me can see where they were coming from, even though they tend to over exaggerate and didn't quite explain their reasoning properly. I think the distaste they express comes not from existing franchises like Mario Galaxy, but more from the fact that Nintendo hasn't released many new Ips.

Disaster, Captain Rainbow, Tact of Magic, Zangeki no Reginleiv, FlingSmash, Xenoblade, The Last Story, Line Attack Heroes, Eco Shooter. That's a pretty decent set of new IPs, in my opinion. And this is assuming that Endless Ocean isn't counted as a new IP (it's related to the earlier title, Everblue), that Excite Truck and ExciteBots are considered to be the same IPs as ExciteBike (despite rather dramatic differences), and that neither Project HAMMER nor Cosmic Walker are ever going to make an appearance.

I wouldn't count most of those franchises in this forum because most are Japan exclusive or may not be making it to NA, Europe. Disaster was a game I was really looking forward too, but Nintendo America didn't think it was good enough to be released in NA. Captain Rainbow never made it out of Japan. Neither did the others. Endless Ocean is a new IP in my opinion but it is the only one I know of other then the Wii series to make it to NA!
