Lol, old times resurface, I'm pleased to report to everyone that the situation has made a servere turn for the better here in Norway!
Vgchartz has gained a lot of cred lately and even the games reporters in the biggest media outlets (VG and Dagbladet) use us as a source.
My contact at Spillforeningen also stated that he likes what's being done here and would not be opposed to cite us as a source in future publishings online.

Well its the same on Gamespot :

me : GTA : SA sold over 15 million
posterx : It never reached the 10 million
me : yes it did , heres the link
posterx : wait , that link is from VGC ...
me : so ?
posterx : that site blows , they just make up the numbers .

But then GS doesnt really counts as a major site anymore :P Still , I have no idea why VGC has such a bad reputation . Yes , it still has many incomplete data , but its the best and most accurate that you can find . And usually NPD , Mediacrate , Famitsu proves that the site is actually extremly accurate .

I'd say it's pretty much a split decision among Finnish gamers - at least among those I've run into. There are those who dismiss the site just because it isn't as professional as NPD, but some consider the site pretty accurate in terms of it's resources.

I keep telling ioi to join the ECA... he doesnt listen.

Best thing to do is not make it us vs them, just keep chipping at them whenever they bad mouth it and eventually they might smarten up.

Well, the Nintendo figures should help convince some people. However, I am not too sure about people realising the whole shipped versus sold thing, and some might think the 1m difference is under tracking

I actually find it accurate. And I live in in the US. People are just jealous that they can't find better numbers that's all
And @ PDF: Funny story. So in spanish we were supposed to conjugate words. then she said that "don't just pick one up from your behind" and i though that she was the only person to say that b.c she says thingsdfferent things like calliing ppl. slappy and stuff

 His sources likely have contracts with NPD of which would abolish their contract if said source were releasing data that NPD has a contract on.   He'd be severaly harming his sources business relationships by doing so.
