MGS1 and 3 rape it sideways as they have everything better than graphics.

Awesome story and cutscenes, gameplay is.... not as good as I hoped.
At the moment my 31st favourite game of this gen.

The only Metal Gear game that I've played were part 2 which I hated and just couldn't get into it, and the demo for number 4 which wasn't fun, I may pull the trigger on the game at some point, but I have my doubts!

The best story in the series - amazingly wraps the earlier games up.

The best music in the series.

The best graphics (obviousley) in the series.

All in all, it is the closest thing to perfection that I have ever experienced. Here's a quote from IGN to help this thread on it's way:

for me this is the greatest game ever just because it fill up every expectation that i had... none other game did that...

Best game for me, ever. It just had some kind of magic, that other games didn't, only once playing game I've got emotional, and that was during MGS4.

Me too, I don't know why it took me so long to get it. The best part is that there are no trophies to cheapen the experience.

It had some epic cinematic moments and pretty graphics, but the story was a bit muddled and the cutscenes were too long and too many. Mashing a button for 5 minutes isn't my idea of fun, however poignant the accompanying scene is.
