Other than the controls, graphics, level editor, etc... MODS!!! Mods are the best, and there's the famous mod called "Portal: Prelude", which adds another 4 hours of play to Portal!

If I'm not mistaken, wouldn't this also give you access to all Source mods too?

Mestasis, for exmaple, is a must and the guy who made that (Adam Foster) was actually hired by Valve.
