MH3 is $65 with the CC Pro here in Canada. Can someone tell me if it's the same price in the US?

It was $59.99, however it seems to be sold out almost everywhere. It took me like 5 tries to find the game to figure out the price.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Yeah I was planning on picking it up from Future Shop for $65 minus 10% (one day sale on games) but they are sold out and it's 11am here! Ah well..

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:


If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

Wick telling me that his decision on whether he was going to buy it or not depended on me purchasing it was the last straw.  How could I live with myself if the game is amazing and he wouldn't ever get to experience it because of me?  On the other hand, if it sucks I am going to hold a grudge against him forever. 

Other reasons for me picking it up include Rol implying that I'd be a loser if I didn't get it, Games4Fun's video that he posted (I love grinding with no rewards), and most of all dib8rman's awesome Monster Hunter Tri thread. 

Thanks to everyone that helped me make this decision and remember that you're all in trouble if I don't like the game, just like Wick.

Off to try the game now.  

A chance to hold a grudge against someone forever... priceless!

ah, the demo gave me a false impression that I would be slaying the Great Jaggi in less than ten minutes.

 

It's cool that you actually have to work towards that.

You have to go through at least 5 hours of playtime before you get to fight him. A new player might take more than 15 hours to beat him enough times and make the Jaggi armor (I did it in ~9 hours)

It's not that you're not having fun till then. You're just being guided slowly into every aspect of MH so it won't seem too overwhelming. I suggest you don't skip anything and really pay attention. By the time you slay the Great Jaggi, you'll be just scratching the game's core.
