Thought I'd give the series a chance to redeem itself, sometimes sequels are a lot better than original, like Neverwinter Nights 2 and Baldur's gate 2 and Half-Life 2. Of course, in this case I was wrong and I made the same mistake with Crysis and Crysis Warhead.

You didn't like them either? I simply cannot get myself to enjoy them at all, too grey, repetetive, enclosed, incredibly predictable ripped off "horror" elements, cheap trick AI (look, let's surround the player in a cutscene) and gimmicky gameplay (slow motion was done 100 times better in Max Payne). The shooting part has nothing in games such as Half-Life 2 or Modern Warfare and if you want a scary game go play Condemned (both of them). I know the majority disagrees but this is how I feel at least.

Was at $7.50 at Wal Mart, you can get it for $10 at eBay. BTW I got Fear2 2 months ago ...... for 5 bucks.

Lol I get it. For those who don't understand me FEAR = First Encounter Assault Recon

SEAR= Second Encounter Assault Recon

TEAR= Third Encounter Assault Recon

I thought the first was good. Not brilliant and it definately had it's drawbacks but fun enough for me to playthrough and enjoy. But, yeah, the best bits had been done before and better in other games. I think the original was released at about the right time as Japanese horror films with scary little girls were big back then.

The sequel on the other hand... I completed it, but it just wasn't good enough.

So what would Fourth Encounter Assault Recon be?

Crysis Warhead was a spin-off (also made by a completely different studio) and not a sequel.

Just saying that playing Fracture is worth it, when you get it for $15 or cheaper.

Fear 2 is a good game. A pretty good one even. Not as strong on the horror side, but better as a shooter this time around.

Wow guys... Fracture, Bionic Commando and F.E.A.R. good games???Why do you accept anything they serve you?Those games had nothing new to say on any department and storywise they were mediocre at best...Anyway,who am I to tell you what to play? :P

@Mummelmann :I agree about Baldur's Gate 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2,but for many gamers (including myself), the first Half - Life is still the best by far...

They would have to come up with a cool name for the 4th 5th 6th and 7th games. My thoughts:

#4- Encounter Assault Recon: Rebirth

#5- Encounter Assault Recon: Salvation

#6- Encounter Assault Recon: Balboa

#7- Encounter Assault Recon: Black in Action

#8- Eighth Encounter Assault Recon

#9- Ninth Encounter Assault Recon

#10- Encounter Assault Recon: Die Harder
