While 13 is better than 10, how can you "hate" 10 but like 13...they are too similar in approach (apart from the battle system).

Does this really have to turn out like every other thread about FF? Oh well. Personally FFXIII is by far the worst one in the series. That might change though, I've only played about 5 hours, and I have to force myself to play the game. This is unheard of to me when it's Final Fantasy. Anyway GET FFIX!!

The first 4 hours of FFXIII were very disappointing, worst beginning to an FF ever but not unbearable like you put it at all. Boy does it turn around.

And Leo-J was asking for this by options in that poll & the last paragraph in the OP.

Well then, I blame Joel.

It WAS unbearable. The whole time I was going "who are these people" "what is this stuff" "cocoon?" "l'cie?" "WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT!?". Then the game told me that I wanted to know the answers I had to read horribly boring datalogs, if this game didn't have Final Fantasy in the title it would've been completely butchered for this. The battle system did start to getting fun, mindless fun, but fun.

One last thing, is there a way I can boot Hope off the team? God damn that guy is annoying.

YES FF6 IS THE BEST FF EVA......anyone who doesn't think so simply hasn't played it and I refuse to accept that people can have opinions on this issue!

DING DING DING!  We have a winner.

 

Actual turn based combat (no ATB) = wretch for me.  If I wanted that, I'd play Tactics.  And...blitzball kinda sucked.

Gah, the generalizations in this thread. They're crazy.

Everyone is different. IX and X are my both my favorites. Easy. They're apparently so very different, but I don't really think so.

FFIX is awesome like all FF games it is a masterpice of the JRPG genre.  

I have a a copy of FFIX but I will be buying FFIX on PSN to save the discs from getting scratched.
