I agree with everything but PS2 being #7, both PS3 and 360 have great game Librarys, but PS2 #7 Hell no, More like # 2 or 3

I'm sorry guys.  You may see it differently, but to me, the industry is always up on the PS3.  Analysts and journalist cheerlead all the time.  I know if was a tough time in the PS3's early years, but since then, it's been the industry's baby.

This is invalid comparing past consoles to nows since the medium for reviews was changed at some point.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 at number 1 and 2 is a BIG joke, and the Genesis/Megadrive , PS1 & SNES at such low place is even a bigger joke.

its based on the average scores per game on the console..

so it basically means the ps3 has less shovelware than the other consoles, and alot of quality ip, does not mean it has THE BEST LIBRARY, since those consoles who won there respective gens had plenty of shovelware on them.

So if a company released a console with only one game, and that game happened to score 32 or higher from Famitsu, would it be classed as having the best game library ever?

It also has the fewest of any of the systems they list there.

Love it when people twist words around to suit their needs. It is a pure % of total games rated. It does not say at all in the report that the PS3 has the best games out of all platforms ever.

The PS3 does feel like it has a large % of AAA titles.

the title of the article is the problem.  "it's official" is stupid, and "best library ever" you would think would mean it has the best games of any library.  Best library by percentage is useless, all we need is a console with 1 title that is awesome and it would have the best library ever.
