Both France and Germany each have a larger population than Great Britain. So much for it being the largest market.

population does not equal gaming market.... obviously.

exactly.. other countries have sunshine so people go outside.. in the UK it only rains so you are forced to play games all day.. that's why the gaming market is much bigger in the UK..

sigh

England - 50.714.000
Scotland - 5.108.000
Wales - 2.977.000
Northern Ireland - 1.733.000

You forgot 818.000 people living in the other 3 and you gave England 3.000.000 extra people.

FYI: Scandanavia is wetter and darker, but there are also less people living there (approx. 24 million).

So It's going to be 75/25 others then. Uk was the only place I expected the 360 to actually beat it.

oh for god sake... does this really matter. the UK is the biggest market in Europe for gaming

It has one queen, one prime minister and one real government (assembly doesnt count). one army, one navy, one air force and all its people have the same British passport.

im done on the subject

but, but.............

Actually, some people have Eu passports as well and then you get some who have dual nationality so their passports are slightly different :p

OT: It is amazing to see how well the 360 version has done. Square must be in heaven right now looking at sales. Also, I never thought there was such a large RPG base in the UK.

Can we not just say WELL DONE FF13 on PS360 instead of turning this into a bickering thread?

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

If FFXIII 360 outsells or even matches the PS3 version in the US, per NPD, there will be meltdowns. Some people are already in a meltdown mode in this thread.

Sorry. All I meant to do is remind people that UK =/= all of Europe. UK sales are not representative of sales in the European Union as a whole. There are a total of 500 Million people in the European Union. 440 Million of these (= 88%) are living outside of the UK.

"Well certainly with the Xbox 360, we had some challenges at the launch. Once we identified that we took control of it. We wanted to do it right by our customers. Our customers are very important to us." -Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb (10/2013). Note: RRoD was fixed with the Jasper-revision 3 years after the launch of 360

"People don't pay attention to a lot of the details."-Yusuf Mehdi explaining why Xbone DRM scheme would succeed

"Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity; it's called Xbox 360,”-Don Mattrick

"The region locking of the 3DS wasn't done for profits on games"-MDMAlliance

The breakdown between standard editions is even closer:

Sales monitor Chart-Track said that the standard PS3 version claimed 45 per cent of overall sales, versus 43 per cent for the Xbox 360 one. The PS3 special edition accounted for nine per cent of total sales and the 360 one for four per cent.
