The 360 will never outsell the PS3 WW, so, a better question is, when will the PS3 climb to second place in this stupid "console war".

I say....sooner than we expect.

Point is, the 360 is dying by the minute everywhere except the US.

Anyone can see it, except Microsoft,and that is why they will fall...and....it serves them right!

Which is why they won't fall. The US is the biggest market in the video game industry, and if they do well there, theres no way they will fall.

Oh... and with the new slim console, (and perhaps kinect, which im not completely sold on), i highly doubt the PS3 will climb into second place. Wishful thinking is all that is.

360 still needs the world to out sell PS3. U.S can't do it alone. we saw that before the 360 slim release.

360 has allways had the price advantage with the arcade, but since the 360 slim is the same price as ps3 slim and it's the only console they're going to produce now. I think 360 is gonna outsell the PS3 atleast until they've cleared out the 150$ arcades.

I think the PS3 slim was only successful because of the price cut and the overall value and that's why I think a 50$ more expensive 360 will only hamper the potential growth.

The US boost was very impressive for the 360, which was expected, the numbers are bound to stay in the same range or increase above 200 K weekly upon worldwide release of 360 slim, 360 would be ahead by 60-70K from now on trying to swing back the current lowering gap. But if PS3 slim goes with a price cut along with the Move to 299$, then its most likely it outsells 360. But chances are less as Sony is trying to market the bundled( PS3 slim PS3 Move accessories)version at 399$ and 360 SKU would be probably 100$ lesser with Kinect included. So something interesting is expected to happen this Q4. Let's stay tuned...

Now, the question is, when will the PS3 start outselling the 360 again this year?

The Slim release was because people holding out were given a new model a 100$ price drop to send them flocking to buy this.  What reason would the 360 have?  The 360 selling as much as it has - is impressive.  Microsoft cannot be stopped, no matter how many people proclaiming thier business and console doomed or in trouble.  Fact of the matter is - even if they ended up third sometime this century, they're making Sony break thier back - with Sony throwing every pitch they have in their arsenal.

Face it - Microsoft has made Sony - former #1 in the business - writhe and squirm in the pain of competing in the HD console war.  Deny it all you'd like - they did it.
