Pretty much anything out of 2K. Prey, The Darkness and the fantastic Bioshock 1 and 2. As far as I'm concerned every other FPS is just the same game with a different cover and setting.

You have a point, I agree this is the direction were most FPS  are going to lately....but It's not always been like that in my opinion.

UT/half Life.. Halo in bits...

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

resistance series, 1 was my first shooter and was amazing and i loved the second also. Cant wait for the third.

Call of Duty

Killzone could come close with time, and Gears is certainly great. And I am just doing proper shooters, not games like Uncharted

Call of Duty

Counter Strike is the best multiplayer shooter ever created. The fact, that it's the only shooter to captivate milions of players for over a decade, the fact that it evolved into a sport and you can earn thousands of dollars playing it, clearly states who is the multiplayer king around here.

I don't like singleplayer shooters, but from what I've played, CoD 4 would be my choice, even though it wasn't a perfect experience.

Lately I've been playing a ton of MAG, since it's the only shooter that doesn't feel dumbed down with aim assist and arcade game style.

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Killzone.
