Ive only played ICO and it wasnt really that good. Loved the art direction. The gameplay was easy, pretty dull and short(beat it in a hair over 5 hours, and I spent 30 minutes on an area cause I didnt know there were bombs in the game). I have SOTC and look forward to playing it due to the positive reception. I dont know yet about TLG, but I am sure the critical reception and hype will be through the roof.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I think there is a very vocal but ultra ultra ultra minority that's amped up for this. You'd think Ico and SotC were far and away some of the best games ever made but they barely making AAA on Metacritic (90 and 91). Obviously AAA isn't a bad score, but it's not quite the, "OMG best game ever and if you don't like this you have no soul," that people always make them out to be.

Knowledge of this game being in production made me purchase a PS3. I still play through Ico and SotC once every few months and wish that I could experience them like I did the first time. I await for my breath to be taken away. I would usually say I wish they would hurry up, but I really don't mind the wait. It tends to mean quality with this studio.

I don't know enough about this game to get excited about it. From the trailer I saw, it doesn't look like my thing. Hope it succeeds but not for me.

game design wise your right, but ICO and SOTC have lots of common elements.

Yes SOTC & ICO are very different game design wise but SOTC & ICO are set in the same game universe and SOTC is I believe a prequel to ICO and the Last Guardian is the sequel  and the last in the series. I can not what to get it first day I hope they remake SOTC & ICO in HD on PS3.

Team ICO games are not some trilogy. ICO, SOTC, TLG are created to be stand alone titles that share common elements. you are right that SOTC is a prequel to ICO..but guess what? that was actually added about mid-way through the game development..so it wasnt initially intended. The Last Guardian as of now has NO connection to the previous titles and Fumito Ueda Xxpressed that it would actually impossible to connect them since there stories are so different( but like SOTC that can change..dont count on it though). The Last Guardian doesnt conclude anything....instead of thinking trilogy think Legend of Zelda where each game may( or may not) take place in the same time era but share lots of elements, art and theme but arnt always directly related to each other.

I loved SotC, I just need more information about this game to make it a must-buy for me.

Also, GoW Collection treatment for ICO+SotC would be awesome.

Well, I just don't see what's special about it. It's hurts that it's been hyped up to be a killer app.

Dont have a PS3 and even if i did ive never been a huge fan of JRPG's or ICO games. Not my cup of tea but at the same time i wont diss this game because i can see how people would be interested in it. To each his own
