the most important invention in modern gaming

R.O.B 6 4.03%

D PAD 56 37.58%

ANALOG STICK 49 32.89%

XBOX LIVE 7 4.70%

TOUCH SCREEN 7 4.70%

MOTION CONTROL 24 16.11%

Gotta agree, the mouse was probably the most important addition to gaming.

D-pad's have been around forever, how are they modern?

I'd say the dual analogue stick is the best since it made shooters way better on consoles.

I still remember rob from epcot center in the late 80's... :)

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

I assume by 'gaming' you mean 'video gaming' in which case things like the d-pad and rob are nearly at the beginning of gaming and are not modern. I went with Xbox live, but I think that is too specific. The internet is what I really mean because it allows for so many new features for games. The whole concept of multiplayer games going beyond one tv revolutionized games forever.

If the D-pad is included in "modern gaming" then I vote Keyboard and Mouse.

And if you count X-box Live, then you should really have Steam up there too.

Hi sorry I did mean video gaming. The internet has been very important for modern video gaming. I think xbox live was the first example on a consol of how it could be done and to my mine is still the best online experience on a console

The D-Pad is almost in every controller.
