I completely agree, just as I said in my other post. It is a pity that so many people overhype sales so much so that in the end many of us are disappointed.

We should always remember: Quality does not automatically mean incredible sales. Although 800,000-1,000,000 is great of course.

qmoney88: I don't give a flying crap if I'm in the minority or not, if more peons like spamming one button combos with some bald, half- naked Spartan dude then more power to them. As for the pre alpha demo, that's Sony's fault for releasing an ancient demo. Based on the demo the game blows, it's the same slop as GoW 1 and 2 but in HD.

This was one of the main negative early reviews given to the game in it's middle phase of development. Like the GOW1 and 2 in HD, but final version unveiled through several trailers did speak for it. It should have a lot of stuff in store.

True, U2 was indeed a surprise doing ~ 800k first week, but dont forget many consider Drake the new mascot of the PS3, and I have a feeling that Kratos might have lost its lead. But who knows? I do hope that he will get his crown back soon

Really? Because I've played the GoW3 demo some 20 times, and I only kept replaying the Bayonetta demo out of perverse curiosity, to see if the game got decent at any point. It took several tries for me to actually finish that demo.

These are both opinions. I happen to be in the majority, judging by my observations.

Oh, really? It's shocking that somebody who didn't like the original two doesn't like the third one.

It's fine if you don't like God of War, but please don't pretend that your opinion is more important than that of 90% of the people in this thread. If the existence of God of War offends you to such an extent, just don't post in threads about it.

Now, try to calm down, ignore your hate for God of War, and accept that it is going to have a strong opening, as suggested by the pre-order numbers and sales of previous games in the series.

Also, I don't think it can hit 1.5 million, but 1 million is pretty much a certainty at this stage.

Oh dear god, it's like I jumped through a portal into 2007 here.

850,000 is an extremely strong first week for any game, no matter how anybody spins it.
