Sakaguchi discusses The Last Story’s battle system
Hironobu Sakaguchi, famed creator of the Final Fantasy series and founder of Mistwalker Studios, has made a new post on the Mistwalker Studio website in which he discusses continuing developments regarding the recently revealed “The Last Story.”
Most of his discussion regarding the game centres around the battle system in which he explains, “I was emailing back and forth with Mr. M from the development team as we were almost chatting late last night (around 9:00pm Japan time). We started to talk about the moment of “stillness” in the battle near the final stage of the game. Starting from the growth of the magic and also about the U.I. operation. I’d like to incorporate an elaborated element, but I don’t want to slow down the tempo of the game… We discussed it quite intensely. I’m not sure if this is the right word, but it was “fun”. I knew I really do like creating games as I thought to myself.”
He then concluded with his gratitude to all those working on the game, “Of course I bow my head deeply to all enthusiasm, technology and devotion of the development staff. That’s bringing life within ‘The Last Story’.”
Previously announced as a Nintendo Wii title, Mistwalker’s latest RPG is due out in Japan this year. A Western release is unconfirmed for the time being.

hmmmmm interesting
I wonder what he meant by a "moment of stillness"
I know its hard to speculate but it sounds like a Action RPG type game though, not a turn based game :(
