Hey, I don't want to feel left out.  If Mike can do a thread gloating about past predictions, as if they were a mark of the future, then I can do likewise and post how I nailed and missed it.  Anyhow, here are some:

* I might as well dump the original Half-Life, because it won't amount to much multiplayer.  Talk about being very wrong.

* The Wii will surprise people, and be competitive.  I figured price point more than waggle would be the deciding factor.

* The Simpson (on Tracy Olman's show) might become something if it got its own show.

* The Sims have potential to be HUGE, if they are done right

* The PS3 isn't going to be a slam dunk, and clean the house, if the 360 is in the same class as it as far as graphics go (talking 2005-2006 here).

* The Atari Jaguar and Lynx will be competitive in the market, because of their sheer power.  Talk about being very wrong.  Top consoles aren't on top due to their "sheer power".  Marketing, software support, and possessing THE exclusive killer app of a given generation (along with right price point) are what matter.

So, feel free to post your own.

* PS2 won't pass the GameBoy;
* Wii would win this generation;
* Wii to sell 80m lifetime, X360 to sell 49m, PS3 to sell 12m or something like this;
* Gears of War will be huge;
* The Conduit will bomb;
* MH3 won't cross 1m;
* X360 would have the biggest AAA games library ever;
* FFXIII would be the best-looking game this gen;
* The Sims 3 would finally include weather and height options;

Some mega-wins and some mega-fails.

I can't seem to recall my own, all I know is they were pretty much all wrong as hell!

I wonder if kowenicki will complain at you for this.

FF XIII would be ps3 only. I was wrong now i don't have to buy a ps3.

I predicted as recently as last week that I would never buy a PSP. Mega fail.

I felt the rumors of apple ditching PPC for intel were fake, and they would buy the next PPC chip from a relatively unknown company.... (they did end up buying the company)

i dont think the ds will do well, the gameboy micro will do better... man that was a bomb

splinter cell DA will be good , i mean the other were..... (man splinter cell DA was a let down)

I dont need a 360 yet ill wait another year (said june 06 bought a 360 in august after demoing dead rising)


man crackdown must suck for them to need the halo 3 demo to boost its sales.... said until i played the crackdown demo, and was blown away
