Switch 2 back over 30k... but considering the game releases, that's a rather low increase.

As for the Switch 1, I think Nintendo can end the production line of the OG model unless they want to keep it alive for the new developing markets as it's certainly cheaper to produce than the OLED model.

Switch 2 is steadily returning to a higher baseline, seems like the low numbers really were the result of the pre-increase May sales the console had

Fortune's Weave did pretty good, considering it's releasing earlier and digital is getting a bigger part of the pie as time goes on

With digital sales being higher than they were in 2019, fortunes weave should be at around the same level of sales as three houses launch.

Anyone can share the numbers for previous entries of the Fire Emblen and Trails series?

For some context on FE… (@Zarkho)

01./00. [NSW] Fire Emblem: Three Houses # (Nintendo) {2019.07.26} (¥6.980) - 143.130 / NEW <60-80%>
01./00. [NSW] Fire Emblem: Engage # (Nintendo) {2023.01.20} (¥6.980) - 144.558 / NEW <80-100%>
01./00. [NS2] Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave # (Nintendo) {2026.09.17} (¥9.073) - 127.131 / NEW

Given the $80USD price tag and the size of the Switch 2’s install base (even in Japan), that’s a pretty impressive opening for Fortune’s Weave. The other two entries sold well LTD. Here’s to hoping this translates to similarly strong figures WW.

Fire Emblem / Tactical RPG FW Comparison:

  • Fire Emblem: Fates (3DS) - 353,201
  • Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS) - 262,399
  • Fire Emblem: Engage (NS) - 144,558
  • Fire Emblem: Three Houses (NS) - 143,130
  • Fire Emblem: Echoes: Shadow of Valentia (3DS) - 133,410
  • Super Robot Wars 30 (NS/PS4) - 131,235
  • Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave (NS2) - 127,131
  • Super Robot Wars Y (NS/PS5) - 91,501
  • Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle (NS) - 86,956
  • Triangle Strategy (NS) - 86,298
  • Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles (Multi) - 81,901
  • Unicorn Overlord (Multi) - 74,186
  • Tactics Ogre: Reborn (Multi) - 57,256
  • Persona 5 Tactica (Multi) - 49,928
  • Disgaea 6 (Multi) - 39,312
  • Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope (NS) - 17,647
  • Disgaea 7 (Multi) - 16,251

Not a great debut, but Fire Emblem should be able to keep its crown as the most dominant Strategy/Tactical RPG series.

Small 6000 boost for S2 for Fire Emblem launch. Gonna be back to 20k's regular sales next week.

I think digital sales were also higher because Nintendo's digital games are cheaper than the physical ones.

Steam, MyAnimeList and Twitter - PSN: Gustavo_Valim - Switch FC: 6390-8693-0129 (=^・ω・^=)

Didn't expect that big of a hardware boost from Fire Emblem, pleasantly surprised.

Very good software sales for it too, given its higher price point and digital being bigger now than when Engage and Three Houses came out, it may well have outsold those two overall.
