with sony's rising popularity it got me thinking about playstation a lot more and its legacy and whatnot, and i thought itd be interesting to see what NINTENDO fans thought of sony's consoles and how they would rank them? well here is mine:

playstation: 9.5/10 - it is genuinely a good console, i really liked it.

playstation 3: 9/10 - sony did a great job with ps3, even with its rocky start. with all the features it had too, its a pretty cool system.

playstation 2: 7.5/10 - its good, dont get me wrong, i just feel like this system is a little bland. ps3 and ps1 i felt like had libraries with more character and more bang. ps2 definitely had quantity on its side, but nothing that really got me going. 

playstation 4: 5/10 - not really a fan to be honest. it has a lot of cool indie games and some really good AAA titles, but i feel like there is a big gap between this and the ones before it.

playstation 5: 1/10 - this isnt a good console and it doesnt have good games. i was always willing to give it more time, but its been 6 years, i think thats enough time.

playstation 6: 0/10 - perhaps the only console you could legitimately rate before its even announced.

well thats what i think and stuff. what do you guys think? if BraLoD and all the other playstation fans want to post thats fine, but i am interested to see the NINTENDO fan perspective. maybe next we can see what the playstation fans think of NINTENDO consoles, im sure thatd be a fun time.

Playstation: 6/10 - Its an important console and a lot of great franchises started here, but many of the games have just aged badly. The 5th gen is one of my least favorites, with the N64 being my least favorite Nintendo console, but I do respect what they did for gaming.

Playstation 2: 8/10 - Dont really know what I can say that hasnt been said about it already. Its great, but I didnt get the console until Guitar Hero in 2005. Did of course play more games on it, but the GC was my console of choice for most of that gen.

Playstation 3: 8/10 - Even though the 360 was the one I enjoyed the most games on(along with the Wii) this gen, it has some really awesome exclusives and fun to collect for to this day.

Playstation 4: 10/10 - My favorite Playstation console. Love pretty much everything about it. Great library. Great controller. Just perfection.

Playstation 5: 7/10 - Its great, but it is still going, so I cant really give it a much higher score just yet. Love the fast loading and the controller is awesome. A bit lacking when it comes to first party games, but I have enjoyed a lot of third party games on it. Its ugly as sin, but Im glad I have one.

you forgot ps6

ps4 10/10 really? jeez maybe im not giving it enough credit. i hear you about 5th gen for sure. personally, it doesnt really bother me though. i feel like 5th gen was amazing. N64 and PS were so different and i felt like there were a lot of creative efforts going on back then. way more than today or last gen. 

7th gen has to be the best gen of all time. all 3 consoles were very good.

PS1 9/10. 2D games and RPGs hold up very well on it. So do alphamap-dependent games like Final Fantasy Tactics. 

PS2 10/10. One of the greatest consoles ever made. Anybody with enough research can find 100 games they will love on this system.

PS3 9/10. Great exclusives. 3rd party games don't play too well compared to PC versions. But there's plenty of games that were developed with the cell architecture in mind. 

PS4 9/10. A great system overall. Lots of exclusives. Doesn't run games as well as a modern PC or PS5 but the PS4 Pro definitely helped. 

PS5 9/10. Both Sony and 3rd party AAA games on this system often are much weaker than PS4 prequels. Despite Sony's and 3rd party's efforts to make it suck, it's a fantastic system. Niche devs like Falcom, Atlus, Fromsoft and Gust have contributed greatly to it. 

PS6 0/10. I can see 3rd party devs' destruction on the PS5 coming to a head here. No discs is a massive problem.

PS1 has some fantastic games that have aged well but they are all very niche. Checkout my PS1 collection by following the link in my post above this. I understand if JRPGs aren't your thing but there's a lot more than that in my PS1 collection. 

you rate these consoles very high. i agree with your ps6 ranking though. that console just isnt doing it for me unfortunately.
