Forums - Nintendo - What's Nintendo's best expansion/DLC so far? (and why)

Tagged games:

Nintendo have added expansions to many of their games over the last few generations, from Xenoblade's Torna the Golden Country and Future Redeemed, to Bowser's Fury on the Switch port of Mario 3D World, to more recently the Star Crossed World content in Kirby and Forgotten Land on Switch 2.

What is their best such expansion to date in your opinion, and why?

MK8:D Booster pass. Sure some of the tracks were lacking a bit in quality. But it was 48 tracks for $25, doubling the amount in the game. It was great value.

Both Smash Bros Ultimate Fighter Pass’s lol. I don’t think any DLCs have ever gotten as much hype as a new fighter reveal.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

It has to be Torna: The Golden Country. Not only gives you an entire new game with between 15 and 30 hours of gameplay that expands the story of Xenoblade 2 in an insanely good way... but it also gives you a crap ton of content for the base game as well (new Blades, the arena mode, new cosmetics...). I always believed I was stealing Monolith by paying only 30 bucks for all of that.

MK8, not even close.

Bowsers Fury for sure. Just a fun open world Mario game. I dont really want that in the next 3D Mario though, but it was a cool experience.

Xenoblade 2 Torna. So well written and a powerful ending. All the Xenoblade expansions been great tho. Runner up is MK8 DLC before it was included in DX.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

It do be MK8
