Most forums now offer the ability to hide/ignore a certain topic/thread, so that users can better curate their forum experience; this would be a good addition to VGChartz, particularly when there's a lot of negative threads proliferating like the world having no future, etc.

Can you elaborate in the speciffic context of this site? Cause right out the bat i cant see any negative thread whatsoever. This site sees very little activity, i dunno if a feature like this would even have much use. Whats the page that first opens when you enter the site?

He probably means the hot topics section you see on the front page.

Mostly for the threads from the politics forum showing up there, world has no future, gaza, ukraine, US politics, trump, religious persecution, that stuff. I've been asked to stop updating news over Gaza because it keeps showing up on the front page... 

There's something to be said for hiding politics on a gaming site if you come here to get away from all that. Better solution would be more activity in the gaming forums!

yeah, that makes sense. I have bookmarked the latest topics section, so whenever i enter the site thats the first page I see and i honestly dont feel this has been an issue for me whatsoever, cause "negative" topics are very unfrequent. 

You can hide all political threads, which is what I do. Per thread ignoring could be a useful feature for some, that don't want to completely remove it.
