I played the first half hour of it on PC. Graphics are very good and well optmized. The gameplay reminds me a lot of Dead Space. Not sure about the plot though, need to see more.
Great to see new IPs getting attention.

The game had a budget of 27.5 million, and it sold 200k already. It will most likely blast past the production cost soon.
Tbh this game never piqued my interest but I am surprised to hear it cost so little to develop. It goes to show (again) that games don't need AAA budgets to look AAA any more. Hopefully that fact and successes like Clair Obscur lead to a long overdue AAnaissance.

I remember Witcher 2 being made on just under $11 million, and that was not 15 years ago. WTF happened in last decade or so, when $27.5 millions is considered AA budget?

Budgets have ballooned in recent years; Spiderman 2 in 2023 cost over $300 million, COD Black Ops Cold War reportedly cost over $700 million, Cyberpunk 2077 cost more than $400 million.
Development times and team sizes have gotten much, much bigger. By today's standards, $27 million is quite humble.

One of the best blockbusters of all time (Uncharted 2) was made two years before for $20M. Scope creep. corporatization, and diminishing returns, I guess.

This game deserved a better score. It has some wonky moments but most of the time it's up there with Dead Space or a third person RE game.
