Elden Ring Nightreign has sold 1.4 million copies on PlayStation consoles this year – and another 2.7 million on Steam and 750 K on Xbox. That means this experimental PvE souls-like from FromSoftware sold almost five million copies across all platforms. On PlayStation, 84% of Nightreign players have played the original Elden Ring (versus 77% for Steam players). FromSoftware’s now-flagship franchise is thriving.

Released as a spinoff title on May 30th 2025, "ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN" inherits elements from "ELDEN RING" while overhauling its game design into a co-op action survival game, in which players join forces to face increasingly overwhelming situations in a thrilling session based structure. The game has received praise from a broad range of players, including those new to the series, and has shipped over 5 million units globally.

The "ELDEN RING" downloadable content "SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE" released on June 21st 2024, continuing the partnership of joint effort between FromSoftware’s development and Bandai Namco Entertainment’s overseas marketing, and has also enjoyed an increase in sales, surpassing 10 million units shipped worldwide.

This game has been an absolute crack for me since its release. I thought I was going to get bored quickly but I'm close to 150h already and not even close to get bored

Immense value for a 40 USD game. Hope it gets regular updates for at least a year until Duskbloods gets release so I will have anything else to play lol

Kinda glad it didn't do MH numbers or something stupid that would change the trajectory of FS. Now the Switch 2 game has to fail.

People still believing Alinea Analytics is beyond me.

The source is unreliable. Their PS5 vs PC numbers for Forza Horizon 5 make no sense. And no way Nightreign on Xbox managed to sell over half as well as it did on Playstation.

We really got to stop citing Alinea Analytics.

Pretty happy to see Nightreign doing well. I had 0 expectations and I'm now nearing 100h, pretty much done whatever there is to do and trying to think of challenge runs until the new sovereigns pop up.

It even got me hyped for Duskbloods.
