There was the Switch presentation in 2017, a mini direct in 2018, so there's precedent, and having an early year direct just makes sense, so naturally I'd like to see it as sooner rather than later. I think it's clear that won't be the case this time, so yeah I guess February or March it is.

Two directs being rumored for February...two of our poll choices gone and a third likely to be eliminated shortly. The poll leading choice is there being a Direct next week. Are we feeling confident?

My guess is that it's going to be announced tonight, airing tomorrow.

Starts with Pikmin 4 (releasing in April)
Super Mario Party 2
FE: Genealogy remake announced, coming out 2021
Trailer/reminder that the FE:3H DLC is dropping today.
New Paper Mario traditional RPG
Diddy Kong Racing 2
Indies showcase (4-5 minutes)
A bit of Animal Crossing info (~2 minutes), Animal Crossing Direct to air next week.
F-Zero 99 announced for NSO subscribers

New Zelda BOTW 2 trailer, given a November release date.
Closes with a new Smash fighter - E. Gadd. Similar to Piranha Plant, he'll be distributed for free for the next month, then paid after that.

Directs have mostly always been during the first half of the month so it sure looks like there wont be one. If there was a direct tomorrow it would have been announced already. That's not a rule of course, there's nothing stopping them from having a Direct next week or the week after.

Best case: the direct originally planned for the first half of the month was delayed into the second half due to the corona virus. Yeah I'm not getting my hopes up, I'm starting to think there will just be an Animal Crossing Direct in march and that's it until April.

I have cancelled my few advertising campaigns on facebook for my project because of the virus. It would have been a little waste of money with less effective CTR (Click through rate).
