Switch OG version did better than Lite? Woooow

Highlights:

- W39 marks the third highest Switch sales week so far preceded by W38 (last week) and W1

- The baseline for the SW is 5.66% higher than last year with 41735 compared to 39500.

- The PS4 baseline is down -56.72% from 17761 to 11333

- PS4 didn't had a major drop with only 199 less units than last week.

- Switch hardware had 43251 less units from last week, equivalent to a 18% drop.

Dunno bout DQXI S but I think sales will be pretty huge. I heard Atelier is soldout so probably sales will be pretty high for franchise's standards

Supposedly Atelier Ryza did really well in japan, its first week sales where over 150k.

Sheer utter destruction hardware wise. Switch just doing holiday numbers. Global numbers yet another wide margin win for the Switch without a doubt.

DQ sold extreeemely well, God damn.

I was expecting more from DQXI, but it sounds like it helped to sell a lot of consoles. I'm curious if sales of DQXI on PS4 increased for the week due to it being in the spotlight again.

But I really am curious if the Lite will actually have a baseline above that of the regular Switch. Do more people in Japan really not care about the ability to play docked? The OG Switch has a bigger screen as well, so there is surely some amount of people who will still get the regular Switch even if they never plan on playing docked. I was thinking more along the lines of the Lite selling 1/2 to 2/3rd the amount of the regular Switch once all things are settled, but I may have underestimated the extent at which Japan likes their portables.

Unfortunately, we won't get to see an actual baseline until next year, because by the time the Lite launch boost has fizzled out, Luigi's Mansion 3 is already out and from there it's leading to Pokémon and into the holiday season. Year over year, Switch is now ahead by more than 750k units YTD.
