Those born in the early 1980's on the cusp of the two generations, between 1977 and 1985,
call them "Xennials"; had an analog childhood and a digital adulthood.

I think I'm a millenial or iGeneration (born 1999), not sure what the difference exactly is.

1989, so not a Xennial. Although I do remember having analogue tech childhood with cassettes, diskettes and Laserdisc and such.

You are a late one, but a xennial at heart!

I used this definition: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation#List_of_generations

So I'm both.

They are sorta bundled together, just five years difference. Wiki says: "Most of Generation Z have used the Internet since a young age, and they are usually thought to be comfortable with technology and with interacting on social media. Some commentators have suggested that growing up through the Great Recession has given the generation a feeling of unsettlement and insecurity."

I had an analog childhood. Guess i'm a Xennial

Me! I feel special now. It is strange. I was old enough to realize what the internet was when it started but also too young to use it that much.

Still remember having to us dial phones and tvs with 5 channels you had to adjust with a giant 20 foot antenna and dippy disks, actual floppy disks.

But most of my life has now been in the digital age. I now barely remember any of that but long for it to come back. It is nice to have all this technology, but I understand when people mention "simpler times". They were simple, we had a few channels to worry about on TV, you were not out twice a week trying to buy the next best game either. You and your siblings either tried to beat each others high scores on Atari or you played board games all day or outside.

It all seems like ancient technology now and most of it is even impossible to find from just 15-20 years ago. Amazing!
That is not all of the changes obviously, just the most meaningful to me. Automobiles had giant changes as well, plus much more. I guess anyone born just a few years after this period ended already had cell phones, compact discs, etc. Then a few years after that the internet so it really was a small period of time when all this changed.
