Forums - Nintendo Discussion - You can't afford to catch-em-all Pokemon on the WiiU?

Tagged games:

Let's suppose we'll get a Pokemon game on the WiiU.

It'll undoubtedly have NFC used, similar to how Skylander does (which is making more monies for Activision than COD).

Assuming the figurine will cost a mere $5 each. That's a cool 649x5 if you want to collect all.

Let's assume Nintendo to be playing nice and only have 100 of them as NFC exclusive, that's still $500.

Do you really want a Pokemon game on the WiiU?

is this a follow up thread from Gilgameshs 12 year old with big boobies thread? cause now I know the perfect way too lure them into my basement...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

for the sake of collecting them in game, your right, that is ridiculously extortionate, however it would be a godsend for the hardcore fans I'd imagine, because it would let them collect every single one of the pokemon as a set, plus the likelyhood of nintendo not allowing trades is probably pretty slim, so if you dont wanna buy them, trade them from your DS

I think they will make as many Pokemon for NFC as would sell. My only issue would be that the figurines should have cross-game cross-platform benefits for life.

They should do it periodically.

One Year, do a Pkmn Red/Blue game, with Gen 1 Pokemon. Price it at something like $10 for a pack of 3 Pokemon.

Cheap enough to lure people in, but also expensive enough to make a good profit. Rare's could be sold seperately for $5 to $10?

That would be awesome, to have the physical collectible pokemon cards and do battle with them, Yu-gi-OH as well, kinda like a Pokemon/Yugioh version of Eye Of Judgment, what nintendo needs right now is to prevent cheaters, Eye Of Judgment did it right, but there was some limitations on what decks you can use.

I want it! I don't care how much it costs, I'll just trade in my DS pokemon!

Rare isn't worth even $5 these days.

Oh, you meant rare Pokemon.
