Forums - Nintendo Discussion - When was the last time you played ps1/n64 era?

So i was at my friends house yesterday, and he asked if i wanted to play mario kart. I think to myself alright cause he had a wii sitting there, then goes old school kart and pulled out a n64. So we started playing (3 players) i couldnt believe that you seen maybe 2 seconds infront of where you where you really needed to know the track and turn before you needed to. Im not saying this is a bad thing took me back.

Then we also played Golden Eye.  I understand that its where shoots "begin" for consoles, i just couldnt get into it. I rememberd the levels switch is surprising because i havnt played it in atleast 10 years. While i was playing i kept trying to aim with another joystick god it was confusing. And the music i wonder how many times ive heard that song on it.

My question is whens the last time you played a ps1/64 and was it as fun as you rememberd.

funny, i do it all the time thanks to PS1 classics, playing Gradia and PE1, and as soon as im finished DL Oddworld SW HD i will DL Klonoa off of PSN. Someone knows how to support there classics

Last month I played some Banjo-Tooie. I occasionally go back and play old games every month or so. I'm gonna start a new play through of Paper Mario soon.

And yeah, the games are still as fun to me now as they were back then. ^^

I play old school games quite often, it's not rare for me at all.

All the time. I like to look back and remember how much better level designs were back then.

I never had a 64 or ps1, but I recently downloaded Resident evil 1-3 via PS3. Oh, and I play my SNES every few months. I play through Zelda:A LInk to the Past, and Super Mario World 1-2 times a year.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

I do love me some PS1 / N64 games, however when looking back at that era, there is a very, VERY fine line between what was a good game back then that still holds up well today, and what was a good game back then that, for one reason or another, just seems almost unplayable today.

That said, one of these days I'm gonna go back and play me some Paper Mario. Love that game. But way too much on my plate at the moment.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

A couple of weeks, when I replayed Pokemon Snap. In general though, that was not my favorite era. The 4th and 6th generations have left more of an impression on me.

Love and tolerate.

Ahh, A retro thread eh?

OT: I am playing FFIX for the first time.

If you count PS1 Classics? I just played and beat Spyro 120% this week.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.
