Capcom Announces Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

Twelve characters join the roster this Fall.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 is getting an upgrade this Fall. Capcom announced today Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, which adds twelve characters to the game, bringing the total roster to 50. Newcomers include Strider and Firebrand (Ghosts 'n Goblin) from the Capcom side and Ghost Rider and Hawkeye from the Marvel side.

Other updates include balance adjustments and new online features like a Spectator mode. There will also be other new modes and enhancements besides these, Capcom says.

PS3 and Xbox 360 owners can look forward to Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 in November, priced ¥4,990. You can see a first trailer here:

I hate Capcom so much. They always pull this BS just a way to charge $40 and give people who bought the original no viable way to upgrade.

Moral of the story, never buy Capcom HD games on the first edition. Hopefully the handheld games remain untouched by this pattern.

Im somewhat glad but a part of me thinks Capcom might release another MvC3 after this Ultimate one just like they did SSF4 then bringing SSF4 Arcade Edition.
