Eh the NPCs are the same repeated nonsense most open world games do. Shenmue on Dreamcast they had actual jobs, routines and could follow them home. BoTW each one has a personality and a routine. You should also play Space Marine 2. What that game does with how much is on screen at once is something older hardware could not do without serious caviats. Modern consoles even struggle with it. |
No, I mean during the campaign, the characters on screen will talk real time Half Life style and moving around and doing stuff but the detail on animations in these scenes is mindblowing. Some other games do it but it's not to this degree. Like the scene in the bar where everyone is around doing there thing or the set pieces, like when the dude is hanging off the car, my PS4 pro had that chugging at like 10fps and the world was falling apart but it was still one of the most impressive things I've seen.
I have Space Marine 2 installed actually, I seen the first hoard but I also seen through thr trickery. There is no way that hoard is real time, it's all one entity with a bubbling surface for sure and then only the ones that reach you up on the walkways are actual single entities.
