I've been observing the last week and there is an incredible boom in insects for this nearly in the year. Right now it's like the hight of summer minus the house flies/blue bottles. The birds returned also en masses and are noticeably louder. Even the Daddy long legs are floating about. This is a considerable improvement, most noticeably bumble bees and honey bees, the latter is so strange to see around my parts but they’re off working hard.

I’m glad that you notice these things so much, you must feel connected to nature.

My orange cat really enjoys seeing all the bugs and catching them if possible.

Actually I can feel disconnected from it often cause of depression and stuff but even in my darkest days I love the nature of this universe so yeah, the natural world of life on this planet is amongst my favourite things and I do indeed love observing and thinking about it and most of my hobbies stem from this. I once spent days watching the movement of snails along with my DLSR and trying to figure out their deal and if they had evolved in the time we have been building walls and houses cause they go out of their natural habitat to seek man made shelter, like even away fron food and loads of other little cool things about them, watch one eat, it's pretty wild.

I have an orange cat too so I know what it's like, he's so orange he almost needs me to put the food in his mouth, pretty sure mine digs for worms cause he has dirt on his nose quite often but mainly he won't do anything but sit, sleep or meow until his next meal. I saw his hunting instinct kick in exactly one time. That said, he's the most social cat I've ever seen, he was raised with dogs and I'm fairly certainly he's more dog than cat.
