There is no benefit... except. So there is a benefit. And yes, this social aspect may not be important for you, but this aspect exists. So online cannot replace split screen and therefore is not superior. It is just a simple fact.

See, this I agree on. The reason for the delay was the policy from MS or possibly a misunderstanding, but speaking with Phil Spencer helped to resolve it and I agree everyone profits from that decision. Split screen is a cool feature, but it also not a dealbreaker and therefore it is good that now Larian is allowed to deactivate it on Series S. Now Xbox players can probably play this amazing game this year already. This is a good solution. And if Larian finds a technical solution down the way, they can patch in split screen for S later.
