Yeah, I already saw that, I want to update on the weekend.
As for the weak sales, I was going to say it is a late port - but reading the answers I realise the game had (still have?) serious problems on Switch.

High quality port head to head released with the other version (not a late port).
Yerm said: but its important to remember that the Nintendo Switch still has a very small install base. There are 5x as many PS4's currently as there are Nintendo Switches, so with that in mind, the Switch is performing pretty incredibly. |
Nah. We were over this often on VGC. Data shows that for most game install base does not much. Maybe for the FIFAs and the like, but usually not for the unique games. Gamers want the game or not. If they want it, they also get the platform for it, if they don't already own it. Therefore doubling the install-base of a platform affects the sales of a single game only about maybe 10%. It's the other way around: if 10 million Pokemon-players want the newest installment, they get the system it is running on.
Kyuu said: Very informative thread. For better or worse, poorly reviewed games seem to do a lot better on Switch. Consider adding Atelier Lydie & Suelle. Then again, I think you're better off removing weak sellers (Nights of Azure 2, RBI Baseball, etc) than adding more of them. |
Hmm, I'm not sure if the correlation is with the review-score. It seems certain types of games are affected. So as I pointed out Sports games are especially weak on Switch. Japanese games do pretty good though. Platformers do also pretty well on Switch. It does not seem for Rayman on first look, but as I showed with the cumulative graph it actually sells even ahaed of the PS4-vwersion, launch-aligned.
As for adding games: at the start the list was much shorter. I added each game, to have some bases for comparisons. But now as it starts to become more and more, I'm thinking of thinning it out. But based on what criteria? Any suggestions?
