There is almost no way the Wii will have either less profitability or less marketshare than the previous generation, so I don't see how that could be in any way interpreted as failure.
I should rephrase it: This thread is about reasons, that could prevent the Wii winning this generation. Both you are right, it's unlikely that the Wii will be a total failure.
