1. Yes, at the moment yes they are.
2. Time, big hitters, wait and see
3. Shows you just don't like the Wii. Those games were in development before console success was known, they are based on last gen success. The Wii should get better support in the near future.
4. I'll bet you Austria doesn't :P
5. *Insert personal bias, numbers larger than thou, NO U type argument*

I am tired of Wii owners who take insult to facts... My post was short on opinion and based on facts from a well respected web site and attach rates that are known to be factual.  Tear it apart based on facts, not some stupid attack just because you can't face the facts.

I have a Wii and I like it a lot...  But, I am also a gamer that likes great games period.  The Wii hasn't got a lot of great games...  I rented a bunch of sub-70% Wii games and they are very deserving of their ratings (more so then 360 and PS3 games rated that low).

I play my 360 the most (buy all multi-platform games for it because they tend to rate higher), Wii second (When family and friends are over this is the console to play plus the Mario related games are very excellent), and PS3 third (Has some good games, but it needs work - which is supposed to come next year)...  So, just because I make a comment that doesn't put the Wii on top does not mean that I am biased against it...  That is the problem with the Wii bandwagon.  Many Wii owners are so sensitive that they can't read and understand facts...

Wii will go down in history as a very successful console system that brought in a new class of casual, social gaming to the home and will be seen as an inflection point that brought gaming more into the mainstream of modern society and not just a nerdy thing to do as it has been in the past.  It will also go down as the console that started the "interface" revolution where many different types of controllers were created and become an intergal part of future generations.

Unfortunately, Wii does not have the power to build the kind of hardcore gameplay, immersive environments, graphics, and AI, that hard core gamers expect in games such as Gears, Halo 3, Resistance, Ratchet & Clank, Virtua Fighter 5, BioShock, Stranglehold, and soon to be UT III, Haze, Drake: Unchartered, Assasin's Creed, Lost Odyssey, and Mass Effect.  That being said, MP3 was a great effort and by LastGen standards it would have been considered cream of the crop.  But, that was lastgen and we are in the current NextGen which takes things to a much higher level...

Erm what?  When did I dispute the attach rates? I pondered a reason of why, and how that will change in the future, which you ignored.

Someone posted that they have X amount of Wii games, and by a certain time they will have Y amount.  To which you replied to by saying something along the lines of "Well I have more games for my Xbox, and they are bound to be better than yours" no?  So how was my response to that in anyway worse in saying *Insert personal bias, numbers larger than thou, NO U type argument* ?

Look at what you type, "Wii bandwagon", "Many Wii owners are so sensitive that they can't read and understand facts..." You 'clearly' are biased against the Wii, it doesn't matter what consoles you own.  Oh, and a 70% Xbox 360/PS3 game is better than a  70% Wii game according to you aswell... Yes, no bias at all.

And FYI, I don't even have a Wii! Nice try though, I guess.

BWUAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

It could do it ... unfortunatly at this point it will be utterly hard to catch the Wiis 10 million lead by next year . Will it catch the 360 ? There is no question there , with the EU and Japan on their side and equel chance in the US , the PS3 will sooner or later pass it ... but what about the Wii ? Well , seeing the bad sales of SMG and the decline of Wii sales in some areas it could happen , but it will take a loooong time , and I dont see Nintendo giving the throne back so easy :?

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

@NeoRatt - Only point 1. of those has seen any improvement as a result of processing power. The others have just gotten to be prettier versions of older things. There were free-roaming, multi-pathed, customization filled, giant-environment filled games on the PC a decade ago, and the Wii is certainly more than powerful enough to handle those games. Hell, even if it wasn't done that well, and was ugly as sin, you could easily be talking about Might and Magic VI there, which was two steps below Quake II in terms of technology.

I'll be honest, I haven't been blown away by the AI in new games yet. I think that is no longer something that needs more processing power, and now something that needs more time, thought and programming. AI is much trickier stuff than graphics - you can't just throw more processing power at it and hope it gets better. Maybe by the end of this generation, the 360 and PS3 will have had clever enough developers that makes this more than a moderate difference, but it hasn't happened yet.

This conception that good, cutting-edge hardcore games can only be done on the HD systems is wrong.

Sony already made the biggest turnaround in gaming history ... blowing the market domination it created with the PS2 and now playing catch up with the 360 ....

It hate the way ppl say PS3 does no have any good games, by the way it has, COD4, Unreal Tournaments, Uncharted Rachet and Clank and some more multi plats are going to come, the 40 GB is going to be attractive to many people, considering that most people havein a PS3 dont neccearily throw away there PS3, and u never know the emulator for the PS3 was not 100% on software it used the GS alot, maybe a third party manufactuerer mught produce an external chip to help BC, but thats only a maybe, even if since the price is down and there will be AAA games on the PS3 this winter, i guess i would not be suprised if the PS3 out sells the 360, but the Wii is 100% gonna be the winner no matter what
interesting that you sit there talking about how great Sony's games are and then go on and list a whole lot of games that aren't even out yet. If the PS3 lineup is so good why aren't you talking about the great games that it actually HAS?

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

I wonder if the author of this article has seen the latest numbers for last week (25% drop for the PS3, almost at pre-price cut/40 GB model levels).

If the PS3 can now outsell the Xbox 360 despite a lack of AAA titles, what's going to happen when the new Gran Turismo and Wipeout games come out for the console?

Oh no, the X360 will be Wiped out.
