Have not been keeping tabs on both Fifa Soccer 10 and PES 2010, but just noticed how well they are selling, especially on the PS3, see below:

Looking at it, what is happening with PES on the 360?  They have sold under 300k units compared to over 1m for the PS3.  I know that football games are much more popular in Others than NA and that PES is more associated with the Playstation brand than Xbox, but why is there such a huge difference?  Going at that rate it will be very hard to reach 1m on the 360 if at all.

i have both games and both suck.
PES 2010 playes more like a ps2 game.
FIFA 10 has the most ridiculous rubberband AI ever.

I used to play FIFA 09 every day online, it was an awesome game.
but fifa 10 sucks. it uses a ridiculous handicapping system and it uses it ONLINE!!
you can forget playing fifa 10 online, it has only little to do with skill anymore.

Anyway i bought MW2 and its awesome! (i am on 360)

No wonder FIFA 10 is pwning PES 10 in sales.
FIFA series has averaged over 10 points higher than the PES series for the last three years.
FIFA series has fully licensed teams, good graphics, good gameplay, playable online.
PES 10 has partially licensed teams, mediocre graphics, screen tearing, frame rate issues, unplayable online.
Soccer/Football fans will choose FIFA 10 over PES 10 due to it being the much better sports simulation.
PES is ancient news and its best days are long behind it. Apparently PES was considered better than FIFA back in its heyday on PS1/PS2. But that is debatable, I personally always preferred FIFA over PES.
Game critics and consumers confirm FIFA series is better than PES series.
PS3 is the soccer console confirmed by the higher sales of the two soccer games.

XBOX owners are not stupid.

Even as a joke, that doesn't fly. Especially with FIFA's balloon physics. Also, compare PES 2010 graphics with Fifa 10 ones. Which is the better? PES, easy.

Online? fuck that. Football is all about talking trash to a player in a room with you, not silent playing. I swear, online is the plague of this gen.

More licenced teams... well yes. Even though a fuckload of them aren't popular/relevant/used.

- wrong. fifas graphics arent that great. i prefered fifa 09. also the gameplay is almost scripted. the handicapping system is so obvious it destroys the purpose of skill and the purpose of ranking up online.

- WRONG! pes 2010 has great graphics. character models are awesome. animations sucks. NO SCREEN TEARING, NO FRAME RATE ISSUES. and YES it is better playable online than fifa 10. you have less lag in pes than in fifa this year. (must be a miracle)

- yes fifa is a better simulator than pes. but pes is a game where you need skill while fifa is all about the rubberband AI. (cheating AI, it is offline and online)

- yes, but i dont know where the high scores for fifa are coming from. the game is at the very best a 8/10 IMO a 7/10 because of the ridiculous rubberband AI. pes = 6/10 IMO

- good for the ps3. at least the 360 version of fifa has not so much online problems as the ps3 version. you should read the official fifa uk forums. 95% of people having disconnection problems and the likes are on ps3. i had 2 disconnection in ~300 online ranked games. also all games were lag-free except ~5 laggy ones.

both games are still trash this year. the graphics got worse (blurrier and cartoony somehow) this year for fifa, the gameplay is just not fun as it used to be (fifa 09) and the rubberbanding AI is ridiculous.
pes 2010 is a major improvement over pes 2009, but its still worse than fifa. fifa is way more advanced than pes in almost all aspects.

I don't know about other people that own pes. But one soccer simulation per generation is enough for me.
