gamespot is inconsistent, i agree. They give some bad games good reviews, and some good games lowewr reviews than they should have.

You know what Garnett? I'd be willing to make you a sig and avatar bet. I say that, whatever GameSpot gives Uncharted 2, the score will be an exact multiplication of a whole number with 0.5 ( 0.5 * 16 = 8.0, *17 =8.5, *19 = 9.5 etc.)

After there reviews of Prototype and Assassins Creed, I lost alot of respect for GS reviews.

While I dont like IGN as a website anymore, I find there reviews are the most accurate and they're not afraid to rate a game lower than expected no matter how much hype there is (AC -7.7, prototype 7.5) while GS is inconsistent and all over the place.

With that said, I agree with your prediction...

Gamespot tends to review with hype like Famitsu.

IGN, although very generous with their scores, offer (imo) more accurate reviews.

Nah, IGN only gives 10/10 to Zelda games, Pokemon games, GBC games, games on consoles that nobody's heard of (like the Lynx) (WTF they gave MGS on GBC a 10/10!) and games from incredible series that haven't seen a proper game in four years.

They're my favourite reviewers, and even I admit they used to suck. There was a time when GameSpot was better. Even now, IGN has a few slip-ups. They gave Star Wars Battlefront II a 7!
