Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Headstrong once again hints at House Of The Dead: Overkill sequel

I just hope it is NOT an on-rails shooter. A lot of people are turned away from games because they are on rails. I think we have plenty of good on rails shooters on the Wii and more awesome ones are coming. Make it like a Resident Evil 4 type game.

Having it not be on rails would be a terrible betrayal of the fans, considering House of the Dead as a franchise is always on-rails (correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know that's the way it is).

I could actually see them making the game on a very small budget, looking at the game it looks terrible but it's meant to for that grindhouse feel and it gives it 100%, small enough that they broke even yet? not sure but if they're happy with sales it's probably at breaking even or at least close.

My guess is that Sega's just looking at 2+3's sales pattern, and thus are not too fussed (since last I heard Overkill was tracking better, even at $50).

i liked house of the dead:overkill alot and thought it looked pretty good for a wii game, if a seqeul is made i will get it and play it on my gf's wii.

HOtD:O is a good game, but there's really no point for a sequel. I'd prefer that Headstrong reboot a different SEGA lightgun property (Virtua Cop, anyone)?

Hopefully they have a proper frame rate in their budget for a sequel.

Sometimes it looked like I just got done slamming bottle of Robotusin while I was playing the last one.

Honestly, I would be happy if they threw out the same game with a dozen new levels and a new gun or two or something, as well as fixing the technical problems the game had. I loved Overkill.

House of the dead is always a rail shooter.
