Forums - Sony Discussion - VGChartz plays Ico and Shadow of the Colossus

Okay, I'll go back and play it.

But first, INFAMOUS DEMO!

Sorry, Wipeout HD, you'll have to be neglected for a while.

Now, should I play on Normal again, or give Hard a shot?

First, a general comment. Shadow of the Colossus is perhaps the most unique game I have ever played, and certainly one of the best. The colossi were all different, the music was fantastic, the graphics (ignoring Wander) were excellent, and the entire game was an amazing ride.

Hate to be forcing your hand there...

Well, I did just complete my second playthrough a couple of months ago, but playing SoTC again is hardly a punishment

I'll try it on hard.

My favourite colossi are number 9 (Geysers), number 14 (Breaking the Ruins) and number 15 (inside the ruined castle).

Number 13 was really aggravating, I thought. He took me forever. I hate getting onto him only to fall off due to my crappy R1 button.

I'll ................ consider it.

Leave your interactive painting with guns for a second, and finish SoTC. Or MM will ban you.

Isn't that right, MM?

I've actually never played the game on hard. Will join in on this. This doesn't mean you get out of playing Demon's Souls, though, MM.

The geysers.... oh what bad memories I have of that Colossus.

That was the first Colossus I was truly stuck on, and I stopped playing the game for like three months as a result. I finally went back and finished it, though, and boy was I glad I did. I didn't quite get the full impact of the game until my second playthrough, however, when I beat it without any significant breaks.

#9 will always be entrenched in my mind as *that* colossus that kept me from finishing the game.

Tonight, we shall play.  Finally.

The game hates me.  I was playing with Wenlan the other night, and I was suddenly forced to log off PSN, then log right back on, so that I was stuck in the middle of 4-2 all alone.  A few seconds later, a Black Phantom invaded my world and killed me in two hits.  =/

SPOILERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

The Turtle, well the geyser one, was just the best colosseus
impressive with his fireball attack and his "2 legs crush" (he was so tall !!!)
also I loved that u were fighing with Argo and not alone

Indeed, for me, the colosseus that u fight with Argo are the best one ...
the 2 "dogs" colosseus were disapointing to me ...

Time to Work !

So just to be clear, by "tonight" you mean around 2 pm? Not totally clear on your current day/night schedule :)

Or do you mean tonight as in Friday night, around 10 or 11?

That sucks.  That reminds me, I still have to give you those Stones of Ephemeral Eyes.  Don't let me forget.

only 10 hours....

I guess I could join the bandwagon since the game is sitting in a wrapper on my shelf.
Don't have ICO though (and since my PS2 is US and me in FR I don't think i'll bother trying to find it).

Sorry for your legend of Dragoon... I have the game and never played it, but an RPG is a bit too long for me to pick up randomly like this... especially since i already have 4 of them on the go.
