Downloaded, and I've found it massively disappointing, the controls are sluggish and unresponsive in all settings, the enemy count is no higher than RE4, though they seem to be less aggressive and easier to kill, the new inventory system works poorly and it actually forces the player to stand still while arranging items, equipping weapons, or using healing items (i'm hoping I just missed the primary inventory or it was omitted from the demo), melee attacks work poorly, hit detection seems shoddy, voice acting is awful (by RE standards), unless much of this stuff is cleaned up this will be the new Resident Evil 0
hopefully co-op will make up for the short comings, but as I stands the demo has convinced me not to by RE5
frankly I found it to be a step back from dead space, and RE 4 wii edition

You could create an US or Japanese account. But without Gold you would have to wait a week.

I personally downloaded it from a webside and burned it on a CD. I don't think it's illegal to download demos via Internet and every 360 plays those downloaded demos.
