Forums - Gaming Discussion - Say something negative about your console of choice

The games cost a lot of money I want them cheaper (and I know it is almost not possible) but I want them cheaper. Counts for all consoles.

I'll second that - come on guys. Still to the thread post. If you want to retort/reply to someone... keep it concise and relevant :)

Im not that fussed about Wii online - because I know its coming. Its Nintendo slowly getting into the online (console) space - and Nintendo's approach these things is to "try" and do it properly from the start - not release something half-broken, or impossible to use (by the average public). Im more concerned about stuff they can't fix (i.e. built-into the hardware). Mike on the Wiimote/sound quality from that thing is a biggie. For the cost, they could have upped the quality with minimal impact on profits. I'll say it again - I think a "Wii Sports II - online" would be hugely amazing. I'll go out on a limb, and say that it could well be the biggest selling console title (across ALL platforms) - this generation. Most of the people I know that don't enjoy the Wii, don't enjoy it because they don't have enough friends/people visiting their place regularly. An online component would alleviate that. ... More issues: 360 - smaller, more "console" controller. Feel like its turning into a cut-down PC. More variety of games - less shooters. Less flakey, cheaper, smaller, quieter. Then I'll consider getting one. Media aspects of it are cool. PS3 - can't/won't comment. I have a (serious) boycott on anything Sony built/produced these days, so I wouldn't get one under any circumstance. Never been a fan of Sony IP/games either. BluRay is virtually a negative for me - not a positive. My previous Sony console (PS2) broke 3 times, took them 9 months to get me a replacement first time. Far too expensive, CELL has been a major disappointment (based on my expectations, and talking to people developing for the PS3). Controller is a joke.

Since when has a thread failed to turn into an immature fanboy rant chockablock with childish arguments when you-know-who rears its ugly head?

Kawaad - On a quick sidenote, have you actually played Gears of War? From the videos, before I played it I thought "oh gosh, another crappy 3rd person shooter" as I dislike FPS games since they are a dime a dozen. Just.........Rent it......Go online....And play co-op, or find a r/l friend and play co-op at your house. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. Far better than 4p Goldeneye games back in the day - just amazing. The single player is OK, no idea about multi, but the story mode + co-op is just absolutely amazing - a must-play. Playing through insane with someone else has re-defined FPS/3rd person gaming for me - and raised it to a bar that no other game can come close to. Also, some X360 RPGs on the horizon: Lost Odyssey Blue Dragon Eternal Sonata Mass Effect (!) Circle of Doom (Kingdom Under Fire is one of the best RTS/RPGs ever made) Magna Carta 2 Infinite Undiscovery Cry On Anways, my 360 Not enough RPGs - Although this will be a good year for 360 RPGs with Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Circle of Blood, Eternal Sonata, Lost Odyssey, Culdicept Saga, Shivering Isles, and Two Worlds, there is still a lack of J-RPGs and CPRGs. We need the rumored Dark Messiah of Might & Magic Also, not enough strategy and/or sim games - although the 360 is the strongest console with RTS/Sim games, there are still not enough. I want games like Galactic Empires, Civilization, World in Conflict, ect, ect. LOTR:BFME2 was great on 360, C&C3 will be good, but we need some substantial games other than BFME2 and Viva Pinata. Also, some sort of supplement to XBLA for those of us without broadband - more disks w/ games on them, and downloadable content. I know they have some remote kisoks with stuff for download, but I want kiosks that I can take my 20gb HD to, and download some friggin games.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Wii- Lack of online and potential to have a long drought like the DS, expensive VC games, crappy battery life of Wiimote 360- Loud DVD drive, uhh HD could use a bit more space PS3- Price, lack of games, crappy online store and implementation of online gaming, crappy interface but flow is fucking sweet PC- Needing to buy a DX10 Graphics card to play Crysis, Vista being a bitch and the hassle in general. Did you know System Shock 2 hates Vista?

Shams - Better not buy a HDTV, or anything. Because in the end you will be giveing money to sony. Shams - Infact. Better stop using any electronics. Keep away from Samsung as well. mrstickball - I want Crysis, Killzone, Resistance. I am not a fan on 'standard' FPS. I like unique games. I like diffrent stuff. I *LOVE* things like flOw. LocoRoco is one of the greatest games I've played in a LONG time. (look at the graphics and now tell me to my face, I am a graphics means everything person) Graphically Resistance, and Gears, were on par. However, I have a PS3, and well... resistance is the only game worth buying, so I got it (duh). If I get a 360. I'm sure I will rent gears... and beat it in 2-4 hours. And then take it back. Resistance is a LONG game. Took me and my brother over 8 hours on CoOp, RUSHING the game. (skipping cut-scenes, mad dash rushing to the finish) Resistance was the first game I've played in a long time that kept me up all night. I almost stayed up all night with the motorstorm demo. Another thing I dont like about the PS3. It cant use a USB HDD, with NTFS... And you cant format a USB HDD so you can get the full size on the PS3. Also, it has some problems with BT headsets. Kinda iffy. But that's more the headset than the PS3 I think. The online match makeing system for the PS3 sucks right now, but it's sposed to be changeing. The online for the Wii, for those who are saying they are waiting to release a good product... You need to see what the product is. I think I'm gonna like the Wii more before the internet than after.

I STILL don't get the appeal of flOw...it's been available as a free flash game for almost a year now...

flOw for the PC *SUCKS* compared to the PS3 version. I'll just say that. The SOUND is worth 8$... Not to mention the other features.
