I rate it at a 2/10. I've not seen the game, played the game, and only saw 1 screenshot months ago. But it sucks. ;)

Relax chibiis, SOMEONE had to get the ignorant post out of the way today. My buddy got the game yesterday and has become antisocial since LOL However, he was grumbling about something about dying and not having hit save point in an hour and a half.

Another bullshit score...

All it takes is hype, not quality, to get a ten. A shame really. I thought this game would get a realistic score.

The ten is realistic, a lot moreso than GTA IV's. GTA IV was bogged down with graphical problems, and slipshod gameplay, and still got a ten, that wasn't realistic.

They don't say anything bad about it in the review.

No, it isn't realistic -- it's flat out bullshit to give this over hyped game a ten. Anything with the slightest bit of hype nowdays gets a high score; it doesn't even matter what the game actually plays like. Reviewers seem to be reviewing hype rather than the game itself. That's why flawed games like GTAIV and Mario Galaxy are getting these stupid scores.

Have you even played the game?

Too bad IGN, along with Gamepro, review games with kid gloves on. They can't be trusted to write level headed reviews, imo.

But MGS4 is good stuff regardless

IGN is actually one of the most accurate reviewers in terms of getting close in numerical terms to the games metacritic/gamerakings average, although I do admit they aren't the harshest reviewer by any means. That probably goes to Eurogamer, Edge, and Gamespot, but I respect all those publications too. There need to be harsh reviewers. That being said, IGN was one of the first reviewers to give Haze a 5 score and also gave Lair a 5 score, so believe me, they aren't biased.

In other news, I agree with the IGN review insofar as what my 7 hours into the game has shown me. This game isn't just epic, its LEGENDARY. I just haven't been able to put the damn thing down. Damn you 8-5 workdays!!! I could be playing Metal Gear Solid 4 right now!

When Two Worlds pulls a 6.8 and Haze pulls a 4.5, you know something is wrong. They're almost the exact same game once you factor in genre. Two Worlds is a shitty Oblivion ripoff that has moments where it's actually fun mixed between massive game faults. Haze is a shitty Halo ripoff that has moments where it's actually fun mixed between massive game faults. For some reason, Two Worlds slipped through with mediocre reviews, just as it deserved. Haze, on the other hand, was given the "Lair Label of Doom" and all reviewers jumped on it for some reason.

Nice analogy, but perhaps Two Worlds got a higher score than Haze, because Oblivion is a much better game than Halo 3?

Both games are clones, but Two Worlds is a clone of a 10/10 game, while Haze is a clone of a 8/10 game. =)

Or maybe Two Worlds got a decent score just because they needed more of their Oblivion fix. ^^

I really don't get how this game can get 10 in all subscores and the total score. I've read quite a few other reviews, and most of the reviews are able to point to some serious flaws and shortcomings; such as some of the cutscenes being pompous and straight out boring, levels being linear, multiple install sessions (yes, it even installs between chapters), etc.

If you give this a 10.0 (that's a 100 point scale), you are not setting the standard high enough. Tho I do not think that a game needs to be "perfect" to get a 10.0, it should be free of major annoyances like I just mentioned.

My main problem is the useless 100 point scale anyway, what exactly is the difference between a 94 and a 95 in terms of something tangible?

In Norway the press uses dice in the review of games/movies/cds/concerts etc. It's very simple.

1 sucks beyond belief, 2 is bad, 3 is mediocre, 4 is ok, 5 is great, 6 is amazing.

What other distincton do you need? It's more than enough to make a buying decision, if you bother to read the review as well. This is a 6 point scale, a 10 point scale would be more than enough, 100 points is just silly.

If GTA4 got 10, then MGS4 should get 11, no excuses.

GTA4 was good, but certainly not a Masterpiece MGS4 is.

And Eurogamer... oh spare me. Something radical should be done there. Heads should be cut.

ABSOLUTELY! the reviewer had no business reviewing the game.... he mentioned that he dint like the MSG series... how could he review something that be is biast against?

Jesus, you people act as if Eurogamer gave the game a 4/10.

The magazine gave it an 8/10. That's a "B", which is fair. Some people like Kojima's style, some don't.

8/10 is fine, although I'd argue it's a A rather than a B unless alignment of A/B/C/D scoring to out of 10 scoring has changed since I was in school (which it might have as that was over 20 years ago!)

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

@Rocketpig

there is no way Two Worlds could've been worse than HAZE......also in the end we have LOADS of Shooter but few WRPG's////maybe thats why it got a higher score

play the freaking game before saying anything. This game is epic both graphic wise on the ps3 and the story is mind blowing. Yeah it doe have 2-3 minuttes installs between loads but u know what... u get an ex freaking plosion afterwards of awsome graphics no load times(exepct 3 sec minimal load times) between big changes in the area u are in. Fx the first install(4 min) lasted 4 hours before i had to install 2 more mins of data.... ohh horror how can i possible wait 2 minuttes to be delivered awsome gameplay and graphics...  Heck i even watched those 3 min of snakes smoking and the flashing warnings about smoking.

Epic game and i barely even know the mgs story... only played 1 and 3(only one i remember the story in).
