Why do people insist on a pokemon MMO, when a singleplayer 3d RPG is much more likely. Think a combination of Zelda with quests, animal crossing (collecting) and pokemon stadium concerning fights - only with a more interactive environment.

On top of that they will likely announce a new colorscheme for the DS.

And I think a Kid Icarus game.

Though I doubt it, a new true Starfox like in the Snes/N64 days would rock my world. Or perhaps they have hired the asian guy and come with a peripheral possible for IR head-tracking...

Becaus you can have that added to a MMo.

Imagine all you already can do in a Pokemon game - now imagine if that pokemon trainers you see during the game are players just like you.

Everyone battling to become a pokemom master, isntead you just fighting an AI.

I know, I would love to play a pokemon MMO wether I'm in my twenty's like now, or fourty's later. But I don't see it happening this generation. The online capabilities of the wii are to modest at this point for a full-fldges MMO. Even if we look at an internet-powerhouse console like the Xbox360, the multiplayer online games rarely have more then 20, maybe 30+ players. I know, it's mostly shooters but even in there I recall a pressreport where people where amazed that there could possibly be more then 60 people on one server.

I don't know every game there is, but I cannot recall one game on any console that would closely resemble or make a good pokemon MMO experience. PS' Home perhaps, but even there the online world is there more for show and tell.

When looking at Nintendo, I believe 12 is the most now that people can connect to one server, and that is for Mario Kart. 100's Of people on one server for a pokemon MMO would seem impossible at this point. Any less and it will probably be too empty.

I do believe, and I would desperatly want a full pokemon MMO, I just don''t see it happening now. Also because Nintendo previously stated that they don't see any uses for the MMO genre at this point.

What I do think will happen is that you cna connect via Wi-Fi to other players and battle you're pokemon against theirs (kinda like how you start MP matches in GTA4), just that you won't be able to meet these trainers in the same realm.

We got a winner!

LOL!

They've said the next Zelda won't be out until at least 2009 and Mario Galaxy 2 not until 2010 so who knows if we'll see anything on either.

Rumor has it that Star Fox Wii could be out as early as Christmas of 2008 and fan rumors surrounding a Kid Icarus game are at their zenith. Treasure Games has announced they're developing two titles for the Wii so both could be announced at E3 and Factor-5's game for the Wii could be announced possibly.

I would hope that ground breaking third party support would be the key focus since that's what the Wii is missing the most and certainly needs if its to break free of the growing gap between it's titles and 360/PS3 titles.

More than anything Nintendo needs to invest in shoring up the ranks of its sub-development teams and work on new franchises to show they're making progress.

Although the problem i had with GX was, that the game had a little too much "arcade" feeling in it, instead of "F-Zero magic". Well, that's what you get when you let Sega develope game for you.

Please elaborate.  That's an interesting point.

Ok, so F-Zero GX was Sega developed game, in a similar fashion that Mario Party is Hudson developed. Sega is great at making arcade type of racing games, which has the "arcade feeling" in it's gameplay. F-Zero has had its special kind of feeling in its gameplay, like Mario Kart or Wave Race. Now, that Sega was the developer, they put their own "touch" into the gameplay, which tend to be the "arcade" gameplay. I hope that cleared things up.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Lol that's a bit narrow for a poke'mon mmorpg.

I've read much more detailed ideals for one - it included breeders, trainers, gym leaders, elite four, champions, rangers... etc being players.

The complexity was in great detail, trust me great detail, if Nintendo used that as a blue print, they would have my 22 dollars a month 30 max... maybe 35... yea 35.

Like using the Wiimote to do synch'd gestures in a team battle to have your poke's do unison attacks was just novel, even a suggestion that the DS would function like a pokedex/phone.

I'd say the poke's since red/blue have developed at least a fanbase of 15 million, I haven't even bought a poke' game in a while - I'd buy this one though.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.
