Now I just need to wait for them to announce the other model and I'll finally be satisfied.

Portable-only is a big no from me but nice for those interested. Sales in Japan will explode.
Also, I wonder if the current Switch will see a price cut.

I doubt it. $100 extra for home console functionality comes across as good value with Switch Lite as a reference point, plus sales of the original Switch have increased this year on a global basis.

Conversely, a $250 original Switch would make the $200 Switch Lite look less attractive.

EDIT: The long-running rumor about Switch revisions was about a smaller, cheaper version and a modest upgrade to the original Switch, for the latter it was pointed out that it won't be something like the Pro was for the PS4. It's likely that this modest upgrade replaces the original Switch (which is going to be phased out) and occupies the same $300 price point.

That is because Switch was overpriced from the beggining.

What are you even responding to? There are multiple points in my post.

But in any case, you are wrong.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

You saying the 100 USD difference from Lite to regular for the dock isn't good value on the regular. And that is because the regular was overpriced.

I said the opposite. People get a lot of additional functionality for only $100 more, so there's no good reason why the price of the regular Switch should be dropped.

Reading peoples reactions online to Switch Lite has been amusing. A good chunk of "hardcore" gamers are either confused or pissed off that Nintendo didn't announce a pro model.

This is fantastic news for Nintendo, I expect big things from this revision.

Overpriced???  It is a hybrid system with a really nice large display, with a TV dock.  The PSP was $250, wasn't near as powerful, didn't have a dock and had a smaller screen.

How is regular overpriced? It is cheaper than devices released a decade or more ago, and with inflation that's insane.

September has Link's Awakening Remake (releasing on the same day as the Lite),

Makes me think a Zelda themed Switch Lite would have been a good decision as well, but maybe they're going to do it and just haven't announced it yet.

You think the console should've been priced like the Vita or PSP even though it has more functions than those two, plus being able to play actual home console games?
