This is a single player story driven game (there probably will be multiplayer modes though), and EA said 'no micro-transactions'.

“Many Star Warsfans, ourselves included, are really interested in the dark times, so we wanted to explore that mysterious, dangerous period,” said Stig Asmussen, game director on Fallen Order. “The team at Lucasfilm have been amazing collaborators, helping us explore and further develop this part of the timeline where the Empire is at the height of its power and any remaining Jedi are in hiding. Within this narrative, we’ve crafted a game with intense, yet thoughtful and fun melee combat using the lightsaber and Force powers, allowing anyone to fulfill their Jedi fantasy.”

From a press release, we've learned we'll meet Cal on Bracca, one of several new worlds Respawn is bringing to the Star Wars universe. He's going to meet a fairly wide cast of characters as he runs from the Empire, such as a "mysterious companion" named Cere, but Cal will also have a little droid friend named BD-1.

It's confirmed Cere is a former Jedi Knight, but we're not sure if that means she left the Jedi Order before or after Order 66.

Purge Troopers will also be a force hunting for Cal. These guys are an early version of the Dark Troopers we see in the film Rogue One, but they'll evidently be fighting enemies with the same shock sticks we see in Clone Wars. They also take great selfies, apparently.

Looks great. Director is Stig Asmussen, who directed God of War 3. Writer is Chris Avellone, who wrote KOTOR 2 and Fallout: New Vegas. Singleplayer only, no microtransactions. I am hyped for sure.

Not a big Star Wars fan, so a trailer with no gameplay doesn't do anything for me.

I'm not that excited, honestly, but I'm not exactly annoyed either. I'm sort of hesitant, but not too strongly. If it's good, it's good and I'll play it. If it's bad, I won't.

Honestly, this trailer wasn't very good though. It looked more like a movie trailer than, you know, a game trailer. It also has a protagonist that sounds really whiny and seems so far very generic. I'm not sure why every Star Wars game protagonist has to be an analog for Anakin or Luke, but he looks like he'll follow a very similar arc with the only real catch being that this is during the downfall of the Jedi (which was already done with The Force Unleashed!).

I'm also worried going by the cutscenes that this will be a lot like a standard 3rd person action adventure, meaning climbing segments, forced stealth segments, badly considered RPG mechanics, and combat that's probably pretty basic and uninteresting.

We shall see though! At least this is set in an interesting time period.

This. I saw the stream live and the trailer did nothing for me. Hopefully they show gameplay at E3.

Also the lead combat designer of GOW 3. Won't be surprised if the gameplay is somewhat like it.

I need game play before I get excited

Hm...as much as I'd want to be excited for this, since it has Chis Avellone as one of narrative designers, this indeed looks too much like AAA run-of-the-mill 3rd person action adventure.
And while I liked Cameron Monaghan in Shameless, but he's no lead role material.

Main character is handsome af.

Hyped especially since I'm a big Star Wars fan.

Its a prequel story that takes place after Revenge of the Sith events.

Need to see gameplay though.
