Thats a fallacy to say that there would be no DLC if the base game was not complete.  DLC is a revenue maker.  In other words if the main game was dependent on the DLC then you would have a point but no where in the DLC for this game is it required.  If you  need the extra characters for online play then just purchase the individual characters.  You do not have to purchase the Full Monty season pass.  Its like you forget that you do have options.

DLC is a part of the game.  If the game was completed, it would mean you have all the game's DLC, in which case, there's is 0 DLC left to get.  Not ever game has DLC, either.  God of War had no DLC.  And no, the DLC isn't required.  You can play with a portion of the game if you like.  I'm not setting for a 93 dollar pass that isn't even a guarantee that I'll get all DLC that comes in the 3 months, and in 3 months, another 93 dollar pass?  With two characters?

They can keep the entire game.  I wouldn't pay a penny over 20 bucks for it, and I'm not paying more than 30 dollars for the DLC.

Why are you posting on this thread when you're not even interested in Dead or Alive in the first place? It's well worth $60 to a lot of people.

I am interested in the game.  I'm not supporting the game with a 93 dollar season pass, which is the topic of the thread.  A 93 dollar season pass.

Are you telling me that you purchase every single piece of DLC content for every game you buy?? I still am not sure where you are going with your thoughts.  If a game has no DLC, so what, thats the decision of the person who made the game.  Why would one developer's decision means anything else for another.  I purchase a game on the main game alone.  DLC never comes into the equation on if I will buy a game.  If the main game is complete in my eyes it gets my money,  I care very little about the extra content.  If the season pass means so much to you then yes you should not purchase the game.  Even with that said, I am not sure if that really has anything to do with what we are talking about.  You are basically saying the price is to steep for you then anything else.

Why does a game need so much DLC that one cannot feasibly purchase it all if they chose?  What's wrong with wanting all of a game's content?  And, to answer your question, yes.  The exceptions to that are DoA5, and Street Fighte V.  I want my games complete, and the wrong message is 93 dollars for a single season pass.  That's insane.  There's more content in the base game.

Extra characters are a part of the game.  I don't know how else to explain that fighting game characters in a fighting game being locked off is a major detriment to those that don't have them.  You can't practice against characters you don't own.  It's like playing a game of cards, but the face cards are DLC.  It's ridiculous.  You don't make important parts of the game like that DLC.

I already brought up how the DLC pricing is no where near equilibrium.  Because of that, I'm not buying the game at all.  If the DLC was cheaper, I would have gotten the game, regardless of when or if I got the DLC.

I do not like what this company is doing.  60 dollars is not going to give me a complete game.  I don't want to pay so much for a beta. I will spend my money elsewhere.  Plain and simple as that.

@Michiavellian, I purchase all of the DLC for every game I buy. There exception being games I didn't really want but bought at a low cost, racing games, and games that focus on selling to my penis (Onechanbara, Shenran Kagura, etc.).

Even when I don't play all of the dlc, I like knowing I have the option.

Why does it matter if a game have a ton of DLC.  Its extra content the developer produce to keep the game going and keep interest in the consumer.  If you feel the need to purchase every DLC then isn't that more on you as a consumer than the developer.

You do not have to explain fighting games to me, I have been playing fighting games since the first Street Fighter.  Its all been stated in this thread already that the developers will give you the option to purchase the characters individually if you want.  What you are complaining about is the season pass which is your choice to purchase or not, but neither is required and unless you really care about the extra characters for rank play online then just purchase them individually.

As for the price of the season pass, as stated its your choice to not purchase the game if that means something to you but what exactly are we discussion.  Your choice or that others view your choice equivalent to their own.  Not everyone in this thread cares about the season pass, I know I do not.  I also do not care about online rank play or extra characters I care nothing about.

If 60 bucks does not satisfy you with the game given then move on.  The only thing I see you complain about is the season pass totally forgetting you have other options.

I haven't forgotten about other options.  So that money I could have spent on DoA6 if the game was priced reasonably, to buy a second PS3.  Now only if transferring data from one to the other didn't take 3 days without pausing at 79%....  The point being, there's other things I can do with my money.  This new PS3 cost more than DoA6 would have, but I finally have a CECHA01 model.

So lets break this down.  The Season pass cost 90+ bones give or take a few bucks.  It gives you 2 characters and 62 costumes.  Its said that you can purchase each character for 5 bones apiece.  So lets say 10 bucks for the 2 characters and you are covered for Online rank match play without having to shell out 90 bucks or more.  I am not sure if I see a problem here.  Do you really need those 62 costumes.

The base game already comes with 15 costumes for each character. That is more than enough!
