I'm going to name my Pikachu “Ryan”

Around the Network

This looks great. I love the approach they've taken with this. The director's incorporating Pokemon elements well. The designs are a bit terrifying, but they're pretty close to what I imagine realistic Pokemon being. I'm on board.

That's the creepy shit.

A warrior keeps death on the mind from the moment of his first breath to the moment of his last.

I'm not even a Pokemon fan but that looks really fun.

I expected it to be horrible, but that looked pretty interesting!

Found it to be very silly, wife liked it.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Honestly, as much as there are people here saying they look creepy, I freaking loved those Pokemon designs! I love how they made them realistic and still faithful on how they look in the game. I've seen many "realistic pokemon" fanarts and most of them they just take a real world animal and try to slap a pokemon skin on it, I like how they avoided doing that here.

I am officially on board with this movie now. At first I thought they were going the Smurfs/Hop/Yogi Bear route, but it looks like they are making some serious effort on making a decent live action pokemon movie.

I can only imagine the outrage the Japanese Pokemon fans are having.

Fucking hell, Pika Pika looks so darn cute, need a plush of the thing right now.

It looks pretty good. It has some solid writers on board which helps, alex hirsch creator of gravity falls and the writer for guardians of the galaxy.

Alex Hirsch isn't involved anymore in the movie. He confirmed it himself on his twitter.
