You’re forgeting MLB The Show 18, which according to VGC has twice as many preorders with 9 weeks left than MHW PS4 had 1 week before release. Last year, that game spent 3 months in NPD’s top 10.

Does MLB really still push consoles? By now everyone who wanted to play MLB should have a PS4 imo. I understand that the game is selling well, just like Fifa in Europe, but also just like for that one, new releases don't really push hardware anymore since everybody interested into those games already have them.

So this keeps PS4 up YoY right? Or am I mistaken? Heck everything is up YoY from what I see. The Switch staying good and steady and he XB1 is having a great 2018 so far! Also thank you for the hardware updates! They are very much appreciated!!!

Don't know why people keep sleeping on MLB the Show. It's the 4th best selling sports game after NBA2K, Madden and Fifa and its exclusive. You also have Farcry 5 + Ni no Kuni, the Playstation evergreens (GTA5, Madden, Fifa, NBA2k) and the remaining people who received their tax returns over the month.

From eyeballing the graph I put VGC's current numbers at:

First 10 Weeks of 2018:

PS4        -   3.14m
Switch   -   2.37m
XBO       -   1.16m

First 10 weeks of 2017:

PS4         -   3.08m
Switch    -   1.62m (2 Weeks Only)
XBO        -   0.9m

So everyone is up, PS4 only a little, likely due to the insane Q1 lineup last year. God of War will help it gain back some ground against the likes of Horizon, Persona 5, Nioh, RE:7 and Gravity Rush 2. Luckily MHW already dealt with most of it.

Yep, should be another very good month for PS4, probably over 300k again.

Honest answer: it is, despite the fact Nintendo is trying to support 7 years after, the system is slowly decreasing in sales.

It’s about time to die, don’t you think? It’s entering year 8. Besides, they are only supporting it with ports or remastered. I’m sure it will sell another 7m or 8m before going out, which is great.

Personally, I hope it fades away quicker. The more support for Switch, the better.

I'm glad God of War is April and not March has MLB the show 18, Ni No Kuni 2 and FarCry 5. These three titles can draw in a boost of console sales for those who don't have on yet or for those upgrading to the Pro. Also pre-orders for God of War should also increase in strength. And then we have Detroit in May. We're solid until we need to look at what comes out in June.
